explorer
before and after
document a space before you change it — then change something small, and capture it again. explore how tiny interventions shift the whole picture.
materials
- camera
- one small moveable object (a cup
- a book
- a shoe
- a plant)
instructions
- 1
find a scene — a desk, a shelf, a table, a patch of ground. photograph it exactly as it is.
- 2
change one thing. move an object, add something, remove something. keep the change small.
- 3
photograph the scene again from the same angle.
- 4
annotate both captures: stamp the thing that changed, and use arrows to point at anything else that looks different because of the change.
- 5
reflect: did the small change affect more than you expected? what else shifted — balance, mood, focus?
