what kids practise
explore, connect
no words, no drawing. just leaves and where you place them. the position is the message.
gather materials and set the stage
go outside and collect 10 different leaves. big ones, tiny ones, pointy ones, round ones. also find a flat place to lay them out — a table, a piece of cardboard, or the sidewalk.
the hands-on exploration
arrange your leaves into a message or a picture. can you make a face? an arrow pointing somewhere? a pattern that means something? no words allowed — just leaves and where you put them.
reflect on what happened
show your leaf message to someone. what did they think it said? was it what you meant? what would you change to make it clearer?
try the same message but with sticks or stones instead of leaves. does it still work?
packs include material swap ideas, substitution notes, downloadable PDF guides, and developmental insights for every playdate in a collection.
